Key Responsibilities
- Individualized Care : Create and implement comprehensive occupational therapy treatment plans designed to help residents regain independence in their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Clinical Oversight : Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) and collaborate with the nursing department to train Restorative Aides.
- Integrated Treatment : Participate in interdisciplinary meetings, including Patient Care Conferences and Utilization Review, to ensure a seamless continuum of care.
- Regulatory Documentation : Maintain precise evaluations, daily notes, and progress reports in accordance with the Occupational Therapy Board State Practice Act.
- Discharge Preparation : Lead family and caregiver training sessions to ensure a safe transition home, focusing on maintenance programs and functional independence.
- Physician Collaboration : Work directly with referring physicians to obtain approvals and update treatment protocols as resident needs evolve.

Qualifications
- Current, valid Occupational Therapist (OT) License in the state of California.
