Job Summary :
The Key Account Manager - Architecture & Design, New Construction Opportunities is responsible for developing, executing, and fostering a collaborative business partnership between the Commercial Division and critical stakeholders within the New Construction A&D industry to deliver volume, share and profit objectives for the company across multiple product lines. This role will have a heavy direct end-user focus, and require significant time to be spent on prospecting and uncovering new business opportunities.
Key responsibilities :
Routine prospecting of key stakeholders (all but not limited to : architects, interior designers furniture dealers, end users, management groups, etc) in assigned segments to uncover new business opportunities for Rubbermaid Commercial Products
Establish and maintain relationships with architects, builders, developers, designers, and other purchasing influences in the commercial market industry.
Attend trade shows and industry events; execute lunch and learns with A&D firms
Reach out to potential clients to introduce them to RCP and various product solutions
Leverages all possible outreach methods; maintains a strong and effective LinkedIn presence, uncovers and / or attends critical industry shows; uncovers all possible Networking opportunities.
Build excellent customer relationships at all levels of the end user hierarchy - buyers / procurement leads as well as their and cross functional customer team members.
Lead and communicate important learnings to internal cross-functional teams in order to deliver collaborative objectives
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration
Willingness to spend the time necessary to prospect and cold call for new business.
Proven ability to prospect, uncover opportunities, and convert to sales
5+ years sales and / or channel management experience
Strong project management skills, particularly with organization and prioritization of key initiatives
Ability to thrive and be flexible in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; interpersonal savvy; must be able to present data in an organized manner; Exemplary attention to detail
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and exceptional drive for results
Comfort with interpreting and understanding customer provided data such as POS, COGS etc…
Ability to review promotional recaps / analysis, determine conclusions and drive future business decisions from them data and developing a plan to re-act to the identified insights.
Intermediate to advanced skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point
