Our Finance and Accounting team is seeking to add a team member who is eager to learn and understand all the financial systems and operations that help us strive to be a great company. The ideal candidate will be fueled by curiosity, willing to push themselves to learn and be focused on constant improvement. Our Finance and Accounting Team’s mission is to teach financial knowledge to every member of the company.
Key Responsibilities
The Finance Coordinator will be immersed in our financial and accounting data, systems, and vocabulary and engage in a diverse array of responsibilities each month. This new team member will take part and work towards improving all areas of the department including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and reporting. Excellent financial systems and processes fuel the development of our company.

- Working on the Finance and Accounting Team with 5-7 other members of varying experience and specialties.
- Working as part of the Operations Practice Area which are all the services that support our Surveying, Site Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Landscape Architecture, and Planning Practice Areas.
- Supporting and collaborating with 15-20 technical service teams throughout the company.
- Diligently working on one’s skills to continue to develop knowledge and improve performance.
- Learning our accounts payable and invoice processes.
- Member of our billing team, responsible for drafting 100+ invoices a month.
- Performing accounts receivable follow-ups in a manner that builds client relationships.
- Develop an understanding of the engineering and design industry, our clients, and the land development industry.
- Learning processes in our accounting software system and becoming familiar with how to find data, summarize it, and report it.
- Work with a team to conduct regular financial analysis, providing insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Communicating and working with clients to resolve financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Unanet
- Experience with Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of pivot tables and vlookup’s a plus.
- 1-3 years of professional office experience preferred but not required.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities and a willingness to learn new ones.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
