Accounting Clerk
The Accounting Clerk is responsible to assist with the accounting of business transactions on a day-to-day, month-to-month basis. He/she verifies, allocates and posts transactions into proper journals and ensures transaction back-up documents are properly maintained. The Accounting Clerk maintains an adequate system of accounting records, a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, and develops/produces periodic financial reports that comply with generally accepted accounting principles. The ideal Accounting Clerk will have at least one year experience in a position of similar responsibility.

Essential functions include following a documented system of accounting policies and procedures, overseeing vendor management and outsourcing, maintaining an orderly accounting system, maintaining accounts payable, maintaining accounts receivable, processing bi-weekly payroll, preparing payroll quarterlies/year-end W-2's and 1099's, assisting with employee benefits additions/cancellations, completing periodic bank reconciliations, making debt payments, issuing timely and complete financial statements, recommending benchmarks against which to measure operations performance, calculating and issuing financial and operating metrics, reporting variances from the budget, complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings, and adhering to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

Environmental conditions include exposure to weather, moving mechanical parts, non-climate controlled conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, high, exposed places, noise, and vibration.
