- Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
- Assist with accounts payable and general ledger tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with finance and HR teams to resolve payroll-related issues promptly.
- Stay current on payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance across all states.
- Other duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

- Proven experience managing complex, multi-state payroll operations.
- Proficiency in various payroll platforms and a deep understanding of core payroll processes.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations and solve problems.
- Expertise in federal, state, and local tax laws, wage and hour regulations, and benefits compliance.
- Strong understanding of month-end close processes, including payroll related accruals.
- Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Paycom and SAP.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance and documentation requirements.
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
- Lift up to 25lbs on an occasional basis
- Stand, walk, sit on a frequent basis
- Communicate using hearing and speech on a frequent basis (in-person and/or virtual)
- Up to 10% of travel (as needed)
