Regional Accounting Lead

The Regional Accounting Lead oversees accounting operations for a portfolio of managed golf clubs, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and alignment with Troon's internal standards. This role manages a small team, supports strategic initiatives, and serves as a key liaison between the Customer Finance team and field operations.

Essential Duties

• Lead monthly close processes and review deliverables including financial statements, cash flow forecasts, and reconciliations.
• Supervise and develop a small team of accountants, including training and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and Troon's internal controls and standard operating procedures.
• Support annual external audits and conduct internal audit fieldwork as needed.
• Assist operations teams with annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Analyze financial performance and identify significant variances from budgeted results.
• Attend finance committee meetings and present financial insights as needed.
• Collaborate with operations leaders to align financial priorities with business goals.
• Lead accounting transitions for new properties and ensure smooth integration.
• Coordinate with other departments on accounting matters and policy adherence.
• Conduct periodic site visits to managed golf clubs.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required; CPA preferred.
• 47 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Prior experience managing or mentoring staff strongly preferred.

Technical Skills

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
• Experience with Jonas Club Management software a plus.
• Familiarity with audit, tax, or compliance processes preferred.

Travel

Approximately 10%
