Position Summary : The Manager, Technical and Ambulatory Accounting plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting for Orlando Health’s (“OH”) Ambulatory Service Line, including OH’s joint ventures, retail pharmacy, ambulatory service lines, and other for-profit entities. The role is also responsible for the implementation of complex accounting standards and the integration of newly acquired entities and assets to OH processes. Responsibilities Essential Functions : • Financial Reporting & Compliance : o Supports the preparation of consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures in accordance with GAAP, GASB, and healthcare-specific regulations. o Assists in the implementation of new accounting standards and policies across the organization and performs ongoing review of compliance with standards. o Oversees accounting processes related to OH managed joint ventures and ambulatory service lines. o Coordinates the preparation of all tax and regulatory filings for joint venture surgery centers with external consultants. o Leads financial reporting of for-profit joint ventures managed by external consultants. o Works closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial reporting accuracy and consistency. o Oversees revenue integrity and accounts receivable analytics for retail pharmacy and other ambulatory service lines. • Audit & Internal Controls : o Serves as a key liaison for external auditors, providing documentation and explanations for matters related to OH’s joint ventures, retail pharmacy, and other ambulatory service lines. o Assists in maintaining and improving internal controls related to financial reporting. o Identifies process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance. • Special Projects & Advisory : o Provides accounting guidance on significant transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, leases, and joint ventures. o Supports finance leadership in assessing the impact of regulatory changes. o Assists with system implementations, reporting enhancements, and ad hoc projects as needed. o Oversees integration of joint ventures and acquisitions into Orlando Health’s accounting and reporting processes. o Ensures assigned staff develop and maintain relationships with internal and external individuals and firms that are the sources of necessary information used in the preparation of accounting entries in the assigned areas. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions : • Manages a small group of team members in a functional area. o Ensures the achievement of team critical success factors, which include anticipating and meeting business requirements, accuracy, high quality of work product, and cost-effective results. o Continuously improves internal processes; seeks and implements, with team members, innovative ways to improve quality and reduce costs. o Develops team members into a highly effective and flexible team that can meet customer needs with accuracy and high-quality work. • Provides accurate internal and external financial accounting and reporting. • Establishes policies and procedures, standards, and objectives in coordination with the vision and goals of Orlando Health. • Manages various human resource functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling. • Chairs or leads meetings. • Assumes responsibility for professional development and continuing education. • Completes all mandatory education. Qualifications Education / Training : Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
