Accounting Assistant

Position Summary
The Accounting Assistant supports the accounting department with both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. This role assists with processing transactions, maintaining accurate records, communicating with vendors and clients, and supporting basic reporting and audit activities. Attention to detail, organization, and a strong work ethic are key to success.
Essential Responsibilities
Backup processing for weekly payments
Verify invoices, obtain approvals, and prepare payment batches
Assist with vendor setup and compliance documentation
Perform vendor balance reconciliations
Set up and manage ACH payments
Reconcile general ledger accounts and credit card statements
Investigate and resolve discrepancies
Assist with billing and account setup
Communicate with clients and vendors regarding account inquiries
Provide excellent customer service support
Skills & Qualifications
