Accounting manager h1.location_city

We are seeking a Payroll & Accounting Administrator (Remote). This is a full time and direct hire role for one of our amazing healthcare partners in Florida, but they are open to remote candidates.

Overview

You will be responsible for semi-monthly payroll, reconciliations and AP processing. You will also be responsible for general accounting administration and treasury support. You should be detail-oriented, proactive, organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable

• Ensure proper coding, approvals, and adherence to company policies.
• Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment runs.
• Maintain vendor records and support vendor inquiries.
• Assist with 1099 preparation and year-end reporting.

Payroll

• Use Paylocity for payroll processing.
• Interface between Paylocity and Sage Intacct to do payroll journal entries.
• Support vendor inquires and maintains vendor records.
• Coordinate with HR on employee changes and payroll updates.

Reconciliations

• Investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform timely reconciliations for bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other key financial data.
• Maintain organized documentation to support audit readiness.

General Ledger

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Support preparation of financial statements and internal reporting.

Treasury

• Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
• Initiate and track electronic payments, transfers, and deposits.
• Monitor daily cash activity and bank balances.
• Assist with banking relationships and compliance documentation.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of accounting experience
• 2+ years of experience doing payroll processing and reconciliation using Paylocity, Paycom, or something similar
• Strong understanding of GAAP and core accounting principles
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel (Sage Intacct and NetSuite is a plus)
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
