General Manager Opportunity Summary: W.W. Williams is seeking a General Manager; this Executive position is responsible for leading and growing a profitable division made up of several regional operating units. A significant aspect of the position is to maintain an engaging and productive workforce, to ensure a satisfied and loyal customer base through excellent customer service.

Job Duties:

• Plans, develops, and implements the divisional goals and enforces the organizational policies.
• Coordinates activities of Support Center Operations, OEM Sales, and Power Generation Sales to effect operational efficiency and economy.
• Directs and coordinates promotion of products and/or services represented to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in industry.
• Analyzes division's budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made and allocates operating budget.
• Confers with divisional and corporate administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating, and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations required.
• Directs preparation of directives to division personnel outlining policy, program, or operations changes to be implemented.
• Promotes organization in industry, manufacturing, or trade associations.
• Demonstrates effective leadership ability and works effectively with other divisions within the organization and the corporate office while maintaining the trust of peers within W. W. Williams.
• Demonstrates sound ability to use P&L statements to manage the organization's profitability.
• Ensures accurate warranty submission, inventory accuracy and internal audit compliance including EPA and OSHA compliance within the division.
• Recruits new talent to the organization who will uphold the company's vision, goals, and values.
• Develops staff members to take on higher positions of responsibility and encourages all subordinate managers to do the same.
• Builds effective working relationships with customers and the manufacturers we represent.
• Handles conflict quickly and effectively and makes decisions promptly.

Work Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university; or ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Management or Leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to identify and implement process efficiencies.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
