Job Details

Job Details / Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting operations and directly manage staff accountants (with leadership support from an Assistant Controller)
Provide strategic oversight of the monthly close process, financial statement preparation, and internal reporting
Manage treasury functions, cash management, capital allocation, and debt oversight
Lead payroll processes and ensure robust internal control frameworks
Coordinate closely with external tax advisors and auditors
Maintain and strengthen key banking relationships
Supervise the newly established Controller role as a direct report
Drive overall financial integrity, compliance, and operational efficiency across the accounting function

Qualifications:

Proven experience in a senior accounting leadership role, preferably within a law firm environment
Strong background from Big 4 public accounting firms highly valued
Demonstrated expertise in overseeing full-scope accounting operations, including close processes, financial reporting, treasury, and internal controls
Experience managing teams, including direct and indirect reports
Excellent tenure stability and progressive career progression in relevant roles
Deep understanding of financial compliance, external audit coordination, and banking relationships
