Job Summary:
Teach courses in Economics, consistent with current developments in the discipline and teaching methods. Participate in program/department meetings and divisional/college-wide committees with a focus on continual improvement of programs and learning outcomes. Participate in curriculum and course development, course and program coordination, tutoring and advising students, mentoring and reviewing peers, and College initiatives. Must demonstrate a commitment to the diversity of a multi-cultural population, as well as work effectively in a team-based environment, seeking continuous improvement and adherence to the community college philosophy. The job assignments will include face to face, online, and hybrid formats.
Regular on campus presence is expected for all LCC employment. Any flexible work schedules and/or hybrid work schedules approved by the College are subject to change based on the needs of the LCC community.
Final candidates will be subject to a criminal background check as part of the employment process.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s Degree or higher in Economics (from a regionally accredited college or university) or Master’s Degree in a closely related field with a minimum of 18 semester hours (or 27 quarter hours in the discipline)
Previous experience teaching economics at the college level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in creating and evaluation of assessment tools.
Experience in curriculum or course development.
Experience leading teams or projects.
