We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical billing, accounts payable, and credentialing, with a strong focus on accuracy and organization.

Responsibilities :

• Greet patients courteously at the front desk and maintain a welcoming office environment.
• Answer incoming calls, direct them to the appropriate staff, and take accurate messages for timely follow-up.
• Process accounts payable, including preparing checks and managing bill payments.
• Keep meticulous records of all payment transactions and expenses.
• Coordinate remote deposits and collaborate with external accountants for reconciliations.
• Assist with credentialing processes for providers, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
• Support renewal efforts and maintain accurate credentialing records.
• Work closely with providers and administrative teams to uphold healthcare regulations.
• Utilize medical terminology and office knowledge to enhance operational efficiency.
• Perform a mix of front-facing patient interaction and back-office administrative tasks.
• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with accounts payable processes and financial administration.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information.
• Experience with medical terminology or credentialing is advantageous.
