A company is looking for a Patient Accounts Specialist I - Physicians' Billing.
Key Responsibilities
Perform accounts receivable follow-up and collection procedures to ensure timely reimbursement from third-party carriers
Maintain communication with third-party carriers regarding billing and reimbursement changes
Assist in evaluating accounts receivable and developing strategies to reduce outstanding balances
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing operations and collections
Experience with automated billing systems, preferably GE IDX and ETM
Knowledge of ICD9 / 10 and CPT4 coding related to third-party carrier reimbursement
Familiarity with federal, state, and local legal and regulatory provisions related to collection activities
