Job Summary

Under the direction of the Controller, the Accounts Payable Associate performs general accounts payable and accounting duties to include recording and setting up the payment of all invoices, in accordance with company and established accounting policies and procedures.

What Accounts Payable Associates Do

• Essential Responsibilities
• Manage the full accounts payable process, including invoice processing, payment, and discrepancy resolution.
• Complete month-end AP tasks such as invoice vouchering, accrual recommendations, and reconciling AP to the general ledger.
• Maintain accurate records for tax prep, audits, and 1099 compliance.
• Review vendor statements, resolve payment issues, and manage vendor communications.
• Ensure proper account coding, identify payment discounts, and issue stop payments when necessary.
• Process employee expense reimbursements per policy and review for accuracy.
• Administer company credit card program, including monthly reconciliation and approval.
• Maintain and improve AP policies, ensuring compliance with internal controls.
• Prepare reports, analyze data, and support financial reporting and audits.
• Support other accounting tasks and projects; assist in training as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
