Join a collaborative Accounts Payable team in Walnut Creek, CA. You'll work in a high-volume environment that uses technology-basedinvoice capture, so your focus is on accuracy, validation, and problem-solving. Daily team huddles keep priorities clear and support cross-training and growth. This role is contract to hire and LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with our client to find their next great hire!
What you'll do as the Accounts Payable Specialist :
- Review 200 invoices per day, validating vendor, coding, description, dates, and paying entity against budgets (final approval requires human review).
- Apply accrual accounting concepts (e.g., cut-off dates) to ensure accuracy before approvals.
- Manage vendor relations : follow up on missing / incorrect invoices, request details, and set up new vendors .
- Collaborate in daily AP team meetings to align priorities and split work effectively.
- Contribute ideas to improve speed, accuracy, and process efficiency; help the team continuously refine workflows
- Support daily check runs as needed.
