Position SummaryWe're looking for an organized, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Junior to join our accounting team! In this role, you'll support a high-volume Accounts Payable department. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who's eager to learn the ropes of restaurant AP and multi-unit accounting in a supportive, team-oriented environment. What You'll DoInvoice Processing: Receive, review, and enter vendor invoices into the accounting system.Payment Support: Assist with preparing and scheduling vendor payments via check, ACH, or wire transfer to ensure bills are paid on time.Data Entry & Coding: Accurately code invoices to the correct general ledger accounts and departments.Ramp Cards: Track down proper back-up, code and approve for upload.Vendor Communication: Respond to routine vendor inquiries, help resolve billing discrepancies, and maintain up-to-date vendor records.Reconciliation Support: Assist with reconciling vendor statements, corporate credit card statements, and identify and correct discrepancies.Email Inbox: Monitor, review and forward AP and Accounting emails. Answering or resolving any questions and requests or escalate to proper person.Bank Deposit: Prepare and process periodic bank deposits.Office Mail: Sort, scan and distribute.Month-End Assistance: Support the accounting team during month-end close, including basic accruals and reporting taskspliance: Help maintain W-9 records and support annual 1099 reporting under the guidance of senior staff.What We're Looking ForEducation: High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a plus (not required).Experience: 2-4 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or office administration experience preferred.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with Restaurant365 or similar accounting software a plus (training provided).Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy in data entry and a careful, methodical approach to workmunication: Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with vendors and internal teams.Organization: Good time-management skills and the ability to handle multiple invoices and deadlines.Attitude: Eagerness to learn, a team-first mindset, and reliability.What Success Looks LikeInvoices are entered accurately and processed on time.Vendor inquiries are handled professionally and promptly.Documentation stays organized and audit-ready.You grow your accounting skills and take on increasing responsibility over timepensationSalary: $55,000/year Benefits & PerksHealth & FinancialCompany-subsidized Medical insuranceDental, and Vision insurance401(k)Company-paid Life and Long-Term Disability insurance (with options to increase)Voluntary Benefits (Accident, Hospital Indemnity, Critical Illness)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Time OffPaid VacationPaid Sick TimeRestaurant Group PerksDining discounts across Catalogue locations Reporting & LocationWho you will report to: AP SupervisorPreferred Location: Washington DC
