You're an excellent candidate for our Contract Specialist position, if you have a passion for procurement, are energized by working in a fast-paced office, enjoy working in a team, and you possess the following qualifications and competencies: Five years of increasingly responsible experience in the purchase of supplies, services, and equipment Sufficient experience in procurement of contractors and preparation of contracts and bid specification. Experience in RFP preparation and evaluation processes. Located in east San Diego County. The district is 66.3 square miles in size, and serves elementary students in grades K-8 feeding into the Grossmont Union High School District. The district has approximately 16,600 students, plus approximately 800 preschool students, with 26 schools (6 middle schools, 19 elementary schools, and 1 preschool). The District is largely urban in nature with some rural areas. Regardless of what our employees' needs are, we meet them with the personalized attention only a caring school district can provide.
