Position Overview: Financial Specialist / Business Office Manager

The Business Office Manager will oversee and manage all financial functions, including billing, collections, and overall business office operations. This individual will play a key role in maintaining financial health while supporting a positive and efficient environment for residents, families, and staff.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee all business office operations and financial processes
  2. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
  3. Manage accounts receivable, including Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing
  4. Assist with Medicaid applications and follow-ups
  5. Maintain accurate financial records and reporting
  6. Collaborate with facility leadership to meet financial goals
  7. Promote an organized, efficient, and service-focused business office


Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Healthcare Management (preferred)
  2. Strong understanding of GAAP principles
  3. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills
  4. Experience with accounting and financial software systems
  5. Healthcare billing and collections experience (nursing home preferred)
  6. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  7. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
