Job description

Job Summary

Kinetic Personnel Group is seeking an experienced Property Damage Claims Adjuster for an insurance company in Monrovia, CA. This role is responsible for providing high-quality customer service while managing a volume of property damage claims. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of coverage analysis, liability evaluation, and California insurance regulations, and is able to resolve claims efficiently and fairly.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze insurance coverage to determine applicability and exposure

  • Investigate accident facts, evaluate liability, and determine appropriate claim outcomes

  • Negotiate, deny, or settle property damage claims in a timely and fair manner

  • Ensure compliance with California Insurance Code regulations and claim handling standards

  • Identify and investigate suspicious loss indicators and potential fraud

  • Prepare claims files for subrogation as appropriate

  • Determine next steps and resolution strategies when claim issues arise

  • Refer matters outside of assigned authority to the Claims Supervisor or Manager

  • Attend trials, mediations, or hearings as requested by management

  • Maintain required insurance licenses and comply with Department of Insurance requirements

  • Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and best practices

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred

  • 1–5 years of property damage claims adjusting experience required

  • Insurance-related training courses preferred

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Essential Functions

  • Ability to think clearly and exercise sound judgment

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods

  • Comfortable working in an office environment

Compensation: $55K-$75k
