Job description

Supervisor

The role of the Supervisor is to provide leadership for assessment, instruction and related services offered to students with special needs and youth in the district schools in a manner consistent with the statutes and standards of regulatory agencies.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function as listed in the evaluation portion of this document. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill, and/or ability required to perform the essential functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Required:

  • Master's Degree from an accredited institution;
  • Professional Supervisor; Mid-Management, Administrator, or Principal Certificate; and
  • Three (3) years of Campus/Department Administrative experience/Lead Experience

Preferred:

  • Three (3) years experience working in Special Education Programs;
  • Knowledge of state's student Special Education laws;
  • Knowledge of district's student Special Education policies and requirements in district schools;
  • Diagnostician's Certification and/or Licensed Professional Counselor.
