Long's Human Resource Services is currently seeking an experienced Inventory Clerk for a growing manufacturing operation in Mobile, Alabama. This is a hands-on position responsible for inventory control, receiving, shipping coordination, warehouse organization, and material support for production operations.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a structured environment, takes pride in accuracy, and can effectively balance inventory, warehouse, and production support responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Receive incoming materials and verify shipments against purchase orders and specifications
Enter receipts and inventory transactions into company systems
Inspect incoming materials for quality and accuracy
Organize outgoing shipments and coordinate material movement
Maintain inventory records and update inventory levels following production usage
Supply materials and inventory items to production personnel as needed
Conduct weekly inventory counts of consumable items
Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness
Assist with warehouse equipment and facility upkeep
Ensure inventory accuracy and proper storage of materials
Support general warehouse and production operations as needed
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of receiving, shipping, inventory, or warehouse experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Excel
Experience working with inventory systems and data entry
Knowledge of imperial measurements (inches, feet, fractions) required
Forklift certification is a plus
Manufacturing or aerospace experience is a plus
