Job description

Engineering Manager, Adoption and Value Realization

AcuityMD is a software and data platform that accelerates access to medical technologies. We help MedTech companies understand how their products are used, why customers vary, and identify opportunities for physicians to better serve their patients. Each year, the FDA approves ~6,000 new medical devices. Our solution helps MedTech companies get these products to physicians more effectively so they can improve patient care with the latest technology. We're backed by Benchmark, Redpoint, ICONIQ Growth, and Ajax Health. We're a high-growth AI and Data company scaling rapidly.

We are a team of agentic builders who rely heavily on AI development practices to accelerate our ability to deliver value to our customers. We believe in extreme ownership and agency, where every engineer takes responsibility for working throughout the organization to land impact with customers. We're a close-knit team that enables high levels of autonomy by constantly communicating our intentions, sharing problems and learnings, and helping each other learn and grow.

We are looking for a strongly technical and empathetic engineering leader to lead our Adoption and Value Realization team, focused on driving meaningful user engagement with our existing product functionality and ensuring customers realize clear, demonstrable value from AcuityMD. As the founding manager of this new team, you will be instrumental in guiding the team's technical investments, achieving product success, growing the team, and mentoring engineers. You will join the engineering leadership team to help shape the culture, processes, and technical investments across engineering.

We are looking for a world-class technical and systems thinker and a world-class leader for this highly impactful role. We believe the important aspects of software are deep in the details and lead-from-the-front managers who have an in-depth understanding of their team's mission, product, and software and its connection to our overall company strategy truly thrive in our environment.

Team Mission

The Adoption and Value Realization Team is responsible for driving meaningful engagement across our existing customer base. Our mission is to ensure that each AcuityMD user experiences the value and improved commercial outcomes of AcuityMD weekly or more broadening consistent usage across our paid subscriber base and deepening usage of our most impactful workflows.

This team owns the systems and experiences that connect product value to user behavior including notifications across email, push notifications, and sms, as well as marketing enablement tooling, value storytelling, and our engagement dashboard. We build the feedback loops, activation surfaces, and insight tools that turn product capability into realized customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with teams throughout the org and directly deliver product experiences that drive measurable increases in engagement and value realization, in close cross-functional partnership
  • Partner closely with Product to define, instrument, and improve engagement funnels and feedback loops
  • Build systems that enable intelligent notifications, get high-impact insights to our users, and help managers enable their team on the platform
  • Lead experimentation and iteration cycles (A/B testing, behavioral insights, activation flows) to continuously improve our user's AcuityMD engagement and sales outcomes
  • Be a strong voice for technical excellence, a passionate advocate for thoughtful software design, and a mentor and coach who inspires engineers to grow
  • Drive initiatives across our engineering team to build and reinforce our culture of expansive ownership, individual autonomy, and constant learning through curiosity
  • Contribute meaningfully to the growth of each engineer individually and to the team's overall operating capability
  • Facilitate collaboration with other teams to deliver the best solution for the customer regardless of internal lines of ownership
  • Take a leadership role throughout the engineering organization, including in our hiring and onboarding processes
  • You instinctively build using agentic tools (Claude Code, Codex, etc) and are invested in pushing the boundaries of what is possible with agentic development

Your Profile

  • 5+ years of experience as a professional software engineer
  • 3+ years of experience as a deeply-technical engineering manager
  • Experience leading complex technical projects
  • Proven track record of architecting, building, and delivering software
  • Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Experience working on growth, adoption, activation, or engagement-focused product teams
  • Comfort operating in metrics-driven environments with clear ownership over behavioral and usage outcomes
  • Strong product instincts and ability to translate ambiguous engagement and value measurement challenges into concrete engineering strategy
