The University of Chicago's Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neuroscience is searching for full-time faculty members at any rank for the Adult Neuropsychology program.

The appointees will provide assessment, diagnostic, and consulting neuropsychological services to adults presenting with memory disorders, neurodegenerative conditions, neurological and medical illnesses (e.g., vascular disease, multiple sclerosis, movement disorders, cancers, brain tumors, epilepsies, auto-immune conditions), neurodevelopmental and neurogenetic disorders (e.g., intellectual or learning disability syndromes, ASD), and comorbid psychiatric conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Depending on the applicant's interests, there are also opportunities for providing therapeutic intervention services (e.g., psychotherapy for patients or families, evidence-based cognitive rehabilitation). Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. This position is benefits-eligible. The neuropsychology service has clinics in the University of Chicago Medical Center and in a satellite office in Northwest Indiana. There are rich teaching opportunities as part of a robust team of neuropsychologists that offers Houston Conference neuropsychology training at the externship, internship, and APPCN fellowship levels, as well as in the Pritzker School of Medicine (medical students, residents, fellows).

The Neuropsychology Program at the University of Chicago is both regionally and nationally recognized for its training, research, and clinical care. With a history dating back to establishment of one of the earliest clinical neuropsychology labs in the world, the University of Chicago program continues to integrate cutting-edge research, innovative clinical approaches, and comprehensive education. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must : 1) hold a doctoral degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an American Psychological Association (APA) or Canadian Psychological Association (CPA) accredited University-based training program, with appropriate coursework and predoctoral training consistent with Adult Neuropsychology, 2) hold or be eligible for an Illinois license in Clinical Psychology, 3) be ABBP Board certified or eligible in Clinical Neuropsychology, be ABPP Board certified or eligible in Clinical Neuropsychology 4) have completed an internship at an APA- or CPA-accredited program, preferably medical center-based, with primary training in clinical neuropsychology, and 5) have completed a full-time two-year International Neuropsychological Society / APA Society for Clinical Neuropsychology-oriented, ABPP / CN-eligible postdoctoral fellowship in Adult Neuropsychology.

We especially welcome applicants whose expertise complements and expands the program's clinical and research endeavors. Candidates with expertise in integrating innovative technology and addressing cultural diversity issues in neuropsychology are particularly invited to apply. Areas of interest may include, but not be limited to, advanced diagnostics for neurodegenerative diseases, cerebrovascular diseases, neuro-oncology, traumatic brain injury, and culturally responsive care for diverse patient populations. Spanish fluency is desirable, though not required.
