At HBO Max, storytelling takes center stage. We’re one of the world’s most iconic entertainment brands — home to bold originals and unforgettable characters. While audiences binge award-winning content, breaking news, and sports around the clock, our teams stay busy at work creating what’s next in streaming. From Succession, Euphoria, and The Sopranos to global franchises like Game of Thrones and Harry Potter, our content sparks conversation and shapes culture.

HBO Max delivers boundary-pushing stories across genres and platforms, connecting millions of viewers across 90 countries globally— and we’re just getting started. We're home to the most talked about shows and movies, granting audiences access to the worlds of HBO, Harry Potter, DC, Warner Bros., ID, Adult Swim, A24, and more. Turn your streaming obsession into a career— we’re hiring!

Your New Role...

We are looking for a passionate and driven Senior Product Manager to join the DTC Data Product Compliance team. In this role, you will report to the Sr. Director of Privacy, Data Product Compliance. You will be working cross-functionally within the Product & Design organization across multiple product verticals: engineering, legal, data science, and analytics with a focus on privacy-preserving advertising platforms and technical frameworks. You will be defining scalable solutions that integrate across WBD’s DTC platforms supporting a wide range of advertising partners, internal stakeholders, and data use cases. You will be motivated to dive deep into the rapidly evolving tech landscape, rapidly changing regulatory environment, and legal nuances across multiple global regions where we operate.

We value product management that drives with discipline and attention to detail. You’re a good fit for this role if you are customer obsessed, collaborative, and data driven. You are a highly effective communicator and can build trust with all areas of the business. You must be comfortable regularly engaging with executive leadership to effectively communicate governance and compliance requirements and secure alignment on product roadmap priorities. You can work autonomously, have strong organizational and analytical skills, and are a proven collaborator and problem solver.

Your Role Accountabilities...

  • Own the product vision and execution for large-scale, privacy-preserving advertising workflows powered by data clean rooms, including advertiser first-party data onboarding, identity matching against our 1P datasets, audience creation and activation, and attribution and measurement across the modern ad tech ecosystem.

  • Partner with engineering and advertising teams to design and ship scalable, standardized, privacy-preserving solutions that operate within clean room and signal-restricted environments, delivering products that meet the needs of advertisers, agencies, third-party measurement vendors, and other ad tech providers.

  • Provide product expertise and thought leadership in the areas of backend data compliance and privacy, with an understanding of how regulations and partner requirements impact and influence use of data across various business processes and functions.

  • Gather, define, and clearly document data use cases through partnership with stakeholders, including Data Platform Engineering, Data Science (ML/AI), Advertising, Marketing, Analytics, Experimentation, Research, Fraud & Abuse.

  • Operate well in the face of ambiguity and imperfect knowledge, drill into business data and research results to identify clear direction and focus.

  • Stay informed on the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in data handling to assess their impact on maintaining compliance and their potential for novel privacy solutions.

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business to enable customer focused features with a “privacy by design” approach.

  • Promote a culture of privacy awareness and compliance throughout the organization.

  • Build healthy, trusting relationships and contribute to a culture of respect by giving feedback respectfully, exchanging ideas openly, and receiving feedback humbly.

Qualifications & Experience...

  • 5+ years of backend/platform Product Management experience within a technology or digital organization.

  • 2+ years of experience with technical frameworks in the digital ads ecosystem.

  • Strong knowledge of privacy and compliance for consumer data used in the advertising space.

  • Built and delivered a roadmap for data clean room and ads measurement product by evaluating build vs. buy options.

  • Has experience collaborating with data clean room providers, ad measurement providers, advertisers, and agencies.

  • Proficiency with analyzing technical architecture diagrams and creating data flows.

  • Experience partnering with technical teams on highly complex projects.

  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive team culture built on empathy.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on documentation that communicates complex subject matter simply and clearly.

  • Proven ability to partner effectively with stakeholders across legal, product, and engineering functions.

  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills.

  • Detail-oriented; self-starter, accountable, and empowered.

  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn.

How We Get Things Done…

This last bit is probably the most important! Here at WBD, our guiding principles are the core values by which we operate and are central to how we get things done. You can find them at along with some insights from the team on what they mean and how they show up in their day to day. We hope they resonate with you and look forward to discussing them during your interview.
