Job Summary
The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing manufacturing processes, production layouts, and procedures to support efficient and high-quality production. This role focuses on improving workflow, ensuring equipment and process effectiveness, and supporting product performance through collaboration with engineering and operations teams. The position also ensures compliance with applicable regulations and quality standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design and develop manufacturing processes, procedures, and production layouts for assemblies, machining, material handling, and equipment installation
  • Plan and optimize the arrangement of machines and equipment to maximize efficiency and productivity
  • Define sequences of operations and establish procedures for tool fabrication and equipment usage
  • Adapt machine and equipment designs to align with production and facility conditions
  • Incorporate inspection and testing requirements into production planning
  • Evaluate the performance of machinery, equipment, and tools to ensure operational efficiency
  • Investigate process issues and implement corrective actions to address deficiencies and improve product quality
  • Develop and support processes aligned with statistical process control methodologies
  • Provide technical guidance to engineering teams on design concepts and specifications to optimize manufacturability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing methods and performance
  • Ensure all processes and procedures comply with regulatory, safety, and quality standards

Job Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and equipment layout
  • Experience with process improvement and problem-solving methodologies
  • Familiarity with statistical process control concepts and applications
  • Ability to analyze equipment performance and implement corrective actions
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field required

Work Experience

  • Previous experience in manufacturing engineering or a related role preferred
