Job description

Infusion Nurse Leader

Sutter Health, in partnership with Stanford Medicine, is seeking an experienced infusion nurse leader to fill a key Nurse Manager role within a major joint venture transforming cancer care in Northern California. This leader will manage both operational and clinical responsibilities in a complex ambulatory infusion setting, with a focus on shared governance and evidence-based care. The role blends strategic planning with hands-on leadership, guiding teams through standardization, performance improvements, and change initiatives, all with a focus on patient experience and clinical excellence. Main duties include managing clinic operations, ensuring regulatory and accreditation compliance, overseeing budgets, and working closely with physicians and organizational leaders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate trust-building skills, influence, and the ability to manage complex clinical and operational issues with confidence and professionalism. This position offers a meaningful opportunity for a mission-driven leader to contribute to a growing academic community partnership with significant visibility and long-term impact. It offers the chance to lead within a transformative infusion partnership that merges academic innovation with community-based care. Leaders will be supported in advancing professional nursing practice, shared decision-making, and achieving outstanding outcomes for patients and teams alike.

  • Solid understanding of Nursing Clinic operations and workflows and how department's process/workflow impacts other department operations.

  • Demonstrates solid clinical proficiency and knowledge to effectively plan and coordinate patient care consistent with applicable laws, standards and regulations.

  • Demonstrates ability to develop and manage a budget.
