Agency Manager

Hamilton Homecare is looking for an experienced and professional Agency Manager to lead day-to-day agency operations and the delivery of compassionate, high quality homecare services.

Position Summary

The Agency Manager is responsible for the overall day-to-day management of Hamilton Homecare in compliance with Colorado state regulations. This role ensures delivery of high-quality homemaker and personal care services, maintains operational performance, and oversees personnel and administrative functions in accordance with agency policies, regulatory requirements, and client needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for programming strategic and operational planning, development, administration and evaluation of the Agency.
  • Organizes and directs the Agency's ongoing functions to assure the availability and provision of care and services.
  • Implements governing body directives and policies. Assures that appropriate service policies are developed and implemented.
  • Direct and monitors the organization's performance improvement activities.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, standards of practice, policies and procedures.
  • Employ qualified personnel to maintain appropriate staffing.
  • Directs staff in performance of their duties.
  • Collects, aggregates, and trends data to monitor staff retention and recruitment efforts.
  • Ensures adequate staff orientation, in-service, and continuing education.
  • Assured proper supervision during all service hours.
  • Represents the Agency to other groups, agencies, and the general public.
  • Ensures the accuracy of public information materials.
  • Assesses the need for adequate space and resources to provide services effectively.
  • Responsible for fiscal management of the Agency including assurance of adequate and accurate billing and collection practices.
  • Prepares and monitors budgets on an ongoing basis and establishes mechanisms to evaluate, track and report variances.
  • Assures that appropriate statistical and financial data are maintained.
  • Keeps the governing body and staff informed of current organizational, community, industry and regulatory trends.
  • Evaluates, with the assistance of agency staff and others, the effectiveness of the Agency services for improving health care to the population served.
  • Monitors contract services to assure delivery in accordance with policy and contract specifications.
  • Fosters a climate of innovation within the organization.
  • Establishes and maintains effective channels of communication. Coordinates with other program areas and senior management as appropriate.
  • Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of job performance.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards in performance of job functions.
  • Attend and participate in staff, education, and agency committee meetings as appropriate.

Experience

  • A minimum of five years of progressively responsible community health or home care experience is preferred.

Education

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements and home care operations.
  • Thorough knowledge of the changing social, political and economic influences affecting health care delivery systems.
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles of administration.
  • Ability to apply pertinent knowledge and methods of working with, and through people who are concerned with, and affected by, health care.
  • Ability to guide and assist staff members in fulfilling their responsibilities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Special Requirements

  • Valid, current driver's license.
  • Access to a reliable automobile.
  • Experience with WellSky is preferred.

Salary Details

  • $55,000-$65,000 Depending on Experience
