Compassionate Caregiver Needed – Little Rock, AR Our family is seeking a kind, dependable, and compassionate caregiver to help care for my 69-year-old father in Little Rock, Arkansas. This is a live-out position with a flexible schedule, and we are looking for someone who truly enjoys caring for others and wants to make a meaningful difference in someone’s life. Compensation & Schedule: Pay is competitive and negotiable based on experience, qualifications, reliability, and overall fit. Hours are also flexible and can be tailored to the right candidate. There is opportunity for additional hours, increased responsibilities, and pay growth over time as our family’s needs evolve. My father has Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and is bedbound. He is currently on hospice and requires total assistance with his daily care. He has a Hoyer lift, and hospice provides nursing visits and a bath aide several times each week. We also have family actively involved in his care and will personally train you on his routine. Responsibilities include: * Medication administration * Meal preparation and feeding assistance * Encouraging hydration * Oral care and personal hygiene * Brief (diaper) changes and incontinence care * Perineal care and skin care * Turning and repositioning to help prevent pressure sores * Monitoring skin for redness or breakdown * Keeping him clean, comfortable, and properly positioned * Light documentation of care provided * Communicating any concerns or changes in his condition to the family This position does involve physical work, including turning, repositioning, and assisting with transfers using a Hoyer lift. Experience with hospice patients, neurological conditions, or total-care patients is preferred, but we are happy to train the right person who is compassionate, dependable, and eager to learn. My mother also lives in the home. She is ambulatory but is a fall risk and has occasional incontinence. While your primary responsibility will be my father, we are looking for someone who can also assist my mother with light tasks as needed and help keep the household running smoothly. We currently have daytime caregiving support, so we are open to discussing daytime, evening, weekend, or shared shifts depending on your availability. We are ultimately looking to build a reliable caregiving team that provides excellent, consistent care.
