Instructional Aide Substitutes are needed for flexible, per diem opportunities supporting students in school settings near Fontana, CA. As an Instructional Aide Substitute, you’ll work one-on-one or in small groups, assisting students in achieving classroom success academically, behaviorally, and socially. What you'll do:
- Provide individualized or small-group assistance under teacher direction
- Support students with daily routines, classroom participation, and transitions
- Implement behavioral support or IEP plans as needed
- Assist with supervision, personal care, and mobility tasks
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful classroom atmosphere
Minimum requirements for school compliance:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- TB test in line with school district requirements
- Capability to stand, walk, and help with lifting if needed
- Ability to clear all required background checks in advance
Preferred experience and qualities:
- Experience in classrooms, special education, behavioral health, or child care
- Familiarity assisting students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- CPI, PMT, or RBT training a plus, though not required
- Reliable work ethic, patience, and a collaborative spirit
