As a valued Instructional Aide sub, you'll provide vital classroom support, assisting students with daily routines, reinforcing lesson content, and implementing behavior plans under the guidance of classroom teachers. What You'll Do:
- Assist students academically, behaviorally, and socially in classroom settings
- Provide focused 1:1 and small-group support as directed by school staff
- Help with daily transitions, routines, and enhancing classroom participation
- Support and implement individual behavior support plans and IEPs
- Aid with supervision, mobility, and personal care needs as needed
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful learning environment
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years old
- TB test, per district policy
- Ability to stand, walk, and provide assistance with lifting
- Current clearances or willingness to obtain prior to starting
Preferred Experience:
- School, special education, behavioral health, or childcare background
- Experience with students with special needs, autism, or behavioral challenges
- Training in CPI, PMT, or RBT is a plus, but not required
- Dependable, patient, and collaborative attitude
