Position Overview
Are you passionate about health and fitness? Join our team and play a crucial role in enhancing Soldier performance and readiness through the Army's prestigious Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) program. As a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (SCC), you will be instrumental in developing, implementing, and overseeing innovative strength and conditioning programs aimed at improving physical performance and minimizing the risk of musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries within Brigade (BDE), Battalion (BN), and Company levels.
Key Responsibilities :
Design and administer strength and conditioning training programs in alignment with NSCA CSCS or CSCCa SCCC standards.
Ensure program quality by adhering to guidelines set by the Army Brigade Program Director (BDE PD) and maintaining industry standards.
Consistently participate in meetings with the BDE PD and H2F Performance Team to discuss physical training programs and provide constructive feedback on Soldier / unit development.
Document and track Soldier / unit progress as instructed, and recommend enhancements to the H2F System.
Oversee equipment operations and address any deficiencies with the BDE PD.
Collaborate with medical providers to develop training programs tailored for Soldiers with physical limitations.
Provide mentorship to unit fitness leaders and guidance on injury prevention strategies.
Collect, document, and report performance data as directed.
Assist in scheduling facility use for approved activities and monitor training events.

Qualifications :
Eligibility to work in the US; US Citizenship required for overseas positions.
A bachelor's degree in any field.
At least three years of relevant SCC experience within the last five years, or a combination of education, professional experience, and military background.
Veterans, military spouses, and candidates with coaching experience may be eligible for experience waivers.
Current certifications : NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) OR CSCCa Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC).
Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR / AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Ability to handle weights up to 45 pounds and conduct outdoor training in various environments.
Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time to support units.
Proficiency in reporting work hours electronically.
A valid driver's license with no restrictions on federal installations.
Additional Skills :
Active NACI clearance is a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams).
