Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.

• Triage walk-ins to determine if a patient is in labor, water is broken, false alarm, etc
• Support pregnant patients in labor including induction, epidural assistance (if needed), general pain management and fetal monitoring
• Assist and circulate in the operating room for cesarean sections, tubal ligation, cerclage and emergency procedures
• Educate patients on various interventions or procedures - medications (name and purpose), exams, and labor stages
• Assess newborn and provide care.
• Communicate with the care management team, including anesthesiologist, physician or midwife, lactation nurse, charge nurse, postpartum unit, patient and family

Job Requirements

Required

• 1 year of the last 2 years, recent experience as an RN in Labor and Delivery, or as an RN in an acute care setting and successful completion of applicable clinical and didactic SRDH specialty training program
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Registered Nurse: NV
• American Heart AssociationBasic Life Support - CPRAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)

Preferred

• 3 years of the last 5 years recent experience as an RN in Labor and Delivery or equivalent in a setting with 100 births/month.
• Bachelors Of Nursing
