Essential Functions

1. Assembles parts according to knowledge of unit being assembled or following blueprints.
2. Performs visual inspection of parts prior to assembly.
3. Identifies any quality issues and notifies appropriate personnel.
4. Fastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
5. Identifies and resolves assembly related problems.
6. Selects and maintains the necessary tools required for assembly.
7. Removes small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce close fit between parts.
8. Operates drill presses, punch presses, or riveting machines to assist in assembly operation.

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

The employee frequently is required to use hands and arms to touch, handle, feel and reach. The employee is occasionally required to walk and talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. The employee must be able to learn and memorize popular pump configurations and assemble them accurately within the time standard.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. This position regularly requires long hours and occasional weekend work as job duties demand
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
