Gerber Ciano Kelly Brady is seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Attorney to join our team. The ideal candidate will have between 5–10 years of experience handling a broad range of commercial litigation and transactional matters.

This position requires a high level of initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to independently manage matters from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, practical problem-solving abilities, and clear, professional communication. The attorney will work collaboratively with attorneys across the firm’s footprint and interact directly with clients, business owners, and other industry professionals. Responsibilities include :

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and agreements.

Handling commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, and related claims.

Advising clients on commercial transactions, risk allocation, and dispute avoidance strategies.

Managing matters involving breach of contract, indemnification, and enforcement issues.

Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and court proceedings, as applicable.

Conducting legal research and analysis related to commercial and business law issues.

Managing deadlines, filings, and procedural requirements across multiple jurisdictions.

Maintaining strong client relationships through responsiveness, strategic guidance, and adherence to client guidelines.

Accurately recording and maintaining billable hours while ensuring all deadlines are met.

Required Skills / Qualifications :

Admission to practice in the State of New York is required (Admission to practice in Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania is a plus).

5–10 years of experience practicing commercial law.

Demonstrated experience with commercial contract drafting and review.

Proven experience handling commercial disputes and related litigation matters.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex legal and business issues.

Ability to manage multiple matters independently while collaborating effectively with team members.

Compensation and Benefits :

Salary is commensurate with experience and skill set. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, life, short-term and long-term disability insurance, 401(k), flexible work options, and paid time off.

For New York City Applicants :

Salary range : $35.00–$70.00 / hour ($72,800.00–$145,600.00), plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. The actual salary offered will depend on the candidate’s skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
