Operations And Maintenance Manager

Position provides oversight, direction and coordination for all operations and maintenance (O&M) activities at assigned jobsite to ensure adherence to contractual objectives. Position supervises and coordinates activities of skilled trades workers engaged in maintaining and repairing equipment, structures, utility systems, buildings, and grounds at assigned jobsite.

Primary job functions include :

  • Perform O & M management administration functions
  • Monitor management plans designed to accomplish contractual objectives
  • Responsible for scheduling work to be performed
  • Responsible for submitting various monthly progress reports
  • Manages and commits contract resources; monitors budgets
  • Responsible for safety of all personnel on job
  • Conducts training of staff, as well as safety meetings and briefings
  • Research and address customer and employee complaints

Education, experience and certification :

  • Required : High school or equivalent diploma
  • Required : 5 years of verifiable experience servicing and / or renovating commercial buildings, including management of a diversified work force responsible for operations, maintenance and repair of commercial building infrastructure systems.
  • Required : 5 years of verifiable experience in a health care business occupancy medical facility O&M.
  • Required : CHFM certification

    • Knowledge, skills, and abilities :

  • Technically qualified in the field of healthcare facilities management
  • Knowledgeable with various codes and standards applicable to the O&M tasks covered by the PWS, TJC, NFPA, EPA, and OSHA codes and standards
  • Knowledgeable and skilled in the operation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems, fire systems and security systems
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and PPE procedures
  • Ability to conduct accident investigations and safety inspections
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suites and basic computer skills
  • Required to obtain a common access card (CAC)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
