The Electric Vehicles, Digital and Design (EVDD) team at Ford is dedicated to realizing the vision of a fully electric future. What you'll do :
- Create innovative control and estimation algorithms for essential body control features, such as window functions, closure systems, and lighting.
- Lead the design and integration of body control hardware components across various electrical test setups including benches, bucks, lab cars, and vehicles.
- Collaborate closely with software integration teams to implement core functions and communicate software requirements to electrical hardware and systems teams.
- Apply functional safety principles and engage in functional safety analyses for complex vehicle subsystems.
- Develop comprehensive test plans and conduct thorough testing to validate firmware functionality, stability, and performance in various scenarios, including low power modes.
- Champion the development of body control features by working cross-functionally with teams across hardware, software, architecture, and more to create feature boundary diagrams and validation strategies.
- Author subsystem block diagrams and guide subsystem reviews through every stage of vehicle program development.
- Initially focus on hardware validation during firmware development, conducting lab car testing, and establishing the automation framework for unit, SIL, and HIL testing.
