Auto Claims Adjuster (N&D)
Responsibilities :
- representing N&D as a service oriented member of our claims team, responsiveness with policyholders and agents is of the utmost importance
- establishing timely contact with policy holders, claimants and witnesses following the report of a claim
- analyzing policy terms to ensure that the coverage sought applies to the loss event
- investigating loss facts to determine liability and to rule out fraud
- assessing appropriate damages and negotiating settlements
- monitoring vendor usage and controlling expense costs
- order police reports and speak with police officers to gain more knowledge on the claim
- send appropriate emails to policyholders, agents, and attorneys
- draft up letters to send out for coverage denials
- report claims to other insurance carriers for subrogation purposes
