Job Summary
Utilizes working knowledge and skills developed through formal training to investigate, confirm coverage, determine liability, establish damages, and negotiate settlements of auto claims, which includes single and multi-vehicle losses with basic coverage and moderate complexity of liability.
Essential Job Functions
- Investigates, confirms coverage, determines liability, establishes damages, reports status and negotiates the settlement of assigned cases in a supervised learning environment.
- Has authority to make payment of assigned claims within prescribed limits, with supervisor review and approval.
- Use claims handling software and laptop to determine claims in a paperless environment.
- Represents the Company from a public relations standpoint and must conduct oneself accordingly.
- Use strong customer service skills to negotiate with policyholders to settle the claim.
