Experience with industrial networking (Ethernet / IP, Profibus, Modbus) and automation protocols (HART, Foundation Fieldbus). Electrical schematics, control panels, and NEC standards knowledge. Familiarity with S88 Batch, life sciences regulations (cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11), GAMP5, and validation. Controls Engineer – Industrial Automation | Wilmington, MA
Salary : $110,000–$125,000 | Travel : Up to 25% | Schedule : Full-Time, Mon–Fri
About the Role :
We are hiring a Controls Engineer to design, program, and commission industrial control systems for manufacturing and process industries. This hands-on role includes PLC, DCS, and HMI / SCADA programming , control panel design, instrumentation integration, database management, and system commissioning. Work will be at our Wilmington, MA office and at a client facility (~35–40 minutes away) for 1.5+ years, with mileage reimbursed.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement control systems for industrial processes and machinery.
- Program PLCs (Rockwell Automation), DCS (Emerson DeltaV), and HMI / SCADA systems (Rockwell, Ignition).
- Develop control system architecture, select components, and create schematics / documentation.
- Integrate instrumentation, manage databases, and commission systems onsite.
- Lead small projects and mentor junior engineers.
