Quality Assurance Lead (Hybrid)

Location: Santa Monica, CA area

Salary: $90k-105k

We are now seeking an experienced and driven Quality Assurance Lead to join our growing team.

Position Overview:

As the Quality Assurance Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality for our products and services. You will lead a team of talented QA professionals, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to guarantee the delivery of top-notch solutions to our clients. If you have a passion for quality, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to drive continuous improvement, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of QA professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Supervise quality assurance functions, coordinate, and assign internal audits, projects and support other activities as directed by the quality manager.
  • Provide guidance, support, and training to team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy that aligns with company goals and objectives.
  • Conduct routine quality management system audits to assure conformance with contractual and company requirements.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure quality standards are integrated into every phase of the development lifecycle.
  • Test Planning and Execution:
  • Create detailed, well-structured test plans and test cases to validate software functionality.
  • Lead the execution of test plans, ensuring thorough coverage and timely delivery.
  • Automation and Tooling:
  • Drive the implementation and maintenance of automated testing frameworks to enhance efficiency.
  • Evaluate and integrate new testing tools and technologies to improve overall QA processes.
  • Performance Monitoring:
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the QA team and track performance against these metrics.
  • Continuously monitor and report on the quality of deliverables, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and support, to address quality concerns and implement improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to ensure a shared understanding of quality expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a QA leadership role, with a track record of successfully leading and developing QA teams.
  • Must be a US citizen.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Must have 10+ years of recent and related quality assurance work experience.
  • In lieu of degree: Candidates with 14+ years of recent and related work experience will be considered.
  • Ability to work in industrial/administration spaces, often in remote environments where hazards are present that requires specialized training (fall protection, energized equipment, forklift operation, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Aerospace Standard AS9100 or ISO9000.
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
