divh2Automation Estimator / h2pThe Automation Estimator will be responsible for the accurate pricing of controls materials, systems, and services for a complete and functional building automation system. Direct responsibilities will include determine costs, analyze customer requirements, and formulate quotation strategies. / ppEssential duties and responsibilities include : / pulliCan determine costs associated with large scale mechanical project without the use of drawing, plans or specifications. / liliUnderstand and have a working knowledge of various codes (Mechanical Code and local municipal codes). / liliUnderstand and have a working knowledge of Title 24 and OSHPD requirements. / liliHave a working knowledge of BACnet, LON, and Modbus networks and their architecture. / liliActively gather and disseminate market intelligence for each estimate by talking directly with the buyer, the end user, vendors, and other sources of information. / liliWhen available, interpret customer drawings, specifications, and requirements as the basis of formulating quotation strategies. / liliAbility to work with Estimating, Engineering and Sales Departments to analyze customer requirements and develop a winning strategy for every quotation. / liliIdentify optimum cost / availability of materials acceptable to the customer and prepare material and labor estimates used in the quotation process. / liliLearn to effectively utilize all estimating documentation and electronic programs in preparation of the bill of material and labor estimate for all quotations. / liliCapable of prioritizing tasks efficiently and meeting deadlines. / li / ulpQualifications include : / pulliMechanical Engineering or HVAC experience. / lili2 + years experience estimating / selling in commercial building automation / HVAC. / liliHVAC Take-Off estimating experience a plus. / liliOverall broad understanding of all types of Mechanical systems (Chillers, Boilers, Cooling Towers, etc.) and HVAC Controls Systems, including building automation network architecture. / liliCapable of communicating effectively with others both verbally and in writing. / liliExperience with energy management solutions. / liliProficient in using Microsoft Products such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as capable of learning and managing internal proprietary systems. / liliStrong technical writing skills, ability to read and interpret drawings and / or construction plans is required for success. / liliThe ideal candidate should possess strong attention to detail and excellent teamwork. / liliMust be a self-starter who can effectively prioritize tasks and work independently. / liliThis position requires strong negotiating and organizational skills, the ability to perform detailed work in a timely manner, follow up through order closure, and management of the order throughout the manufacturing process. / li / ulpEqual Opportunity Employer / ppAs a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
