Job Title: RF Test Technician Location: Torrance CA Employment Type: Full Time Direct Hire Industry: Aerospace/Defense Compensation: $35 - 41/hr. DOE Schedule: 9 X 80 work schedule, First Shift, 6AM - 3:30 PM Acara Solutions is seeking an RF Test Technician to join our client on a Full Time Direct Hire opportunity located in Torrance CA. This will be a First Shift opportunity. About the Opportunity:The RF Test Technician will perform RF measurements, tuning, troubleshooting, and testing of semiconductor components and integrated microwave assemblies operating from DC to 40 GHz. This role requires a strong understanding of RF engineering principles, test procedures, and electronic measurement equipment. The technician will generate test reports in accordance with Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) and may assist in developing test procedures. Responsibilities-Tune, test, and troubleshoot RF/microwave components and assemblies from 20 MHz to 40 GHz, including amplifiers, filters, mixers, switches, diplexers, multiplexers, LNAs, and IMAs.-Perform thermal, vibration, shock, and environmental testing while diagnosing and resolving moderate to complex technical issues.-Conduct RF testing using network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, noise meters, function generators, and related laboratory equipment.-Set up and operate test equipment for production hardware testing.-Execute manual and automated production tests and document results.-Interpret schematics, drawings, work instructions, and operating procedures.-Assist engineers with prototype builds, first article testing, and new product development activities.-Record, organize, and communicate test results and production status.-Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain electronic test equipment.-Perform occasional surface mount assembly and rework using hand soldering tools. What You'll Bring:-High School Diploma or equivalent.-7+ years of RF/microwave component testing experience. What Sets You Apart:-Associate Degree in Electronics.-Understanding of lumped element, cavity, and waveguide filter theory and tuning.-Knowledge of RF measurements including return loss, insertion loss, gain, rejection, noise figure, compression, intermodulation, harmonics, and spurious responses.-Understanding of DC electronics and Ohm's Law.-Experience following test instructions, manufacturing procedures, and quality standards.-Familiarity with electronic circuit fundamentals and RF measurement techniques.-Proficiency with RF test equipment including vector network analyzers, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, power meters, and digital multimeters.-Ability to work under a microscope and perform precision assembly/rework tasks.-Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
