  • Utilize Systems Engineering, PLM, and collaboration tools such as JAMA, JIRA, Confluence, Windchill, Creo, and SharePoint
  • Perform configuration management of systems engineering artifacts, including leading peer reviews and audits of engineering documentation
  • Support trade studies and supply knowledge to help guide design implementation
  • Facilitate and lead key milestone reviews across the full lifecycle of hardware development
  • Identify and fix gaps in existing process, tools, infrastructure, and continually improve solutions along the way

Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics
  • Applied knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices such as requirements development, validation, and verification
  • 2+ years of proven industry experience in the development of electronic hardware
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and supply to a culture of collaboration
  • Passion for our mission: Millions of people living and working in space!

Desired:

  • M.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical subject area
  • 4+ years of space systems engineering or fungible experience in other highly complex industry areas (such as aerospace, medical, or automotive)
  • Experience in design, analysis, test, operation, and/or certification of aerospace safety critical systems
  • Experience with software tools such as JAMA, MATLAB/Simulink, Confluence, JIRA, Git, Creo, and Windchill
  • Experience with end-to-end product development, from concept definition to hardware integration
  • Experience with complex electronic hardware and software certification in accordance with DO-254, DO-178, and/or similar design assurance standards
  • Strong system safety and mission assurance fundamentals (including, but not limited to FMECAs, FTAs, and FHAs)
