Position Summary:
Responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment, preparing ingredients, inspecting finished products, and maintaining a clean and safe production area. The worker ensures efficiently and according to quality and food-safety standards.
Operate tortilla production machinery, including mixers, presses, ovens, conveyors, and packaging equipment.
Measure and prepare ingredients according to production recipes and specifications.
Monitor equipment and production processes for proper operation.
Inspect tortillas for size, shape, color, texture, weight, and overall quality.
Package, label, and stack finished products for shipment.
Load and unload ingredients and finished products as needed.
Follow company food-safety, sanitation, and personal-hygiene procedures.
Clean and sanitize equipment, work areas, and production surfaces.
Report equipment problems, product defects, or safety concerns to supervisors.
Complete production records and quality-control documentation.
Follow workplace safety procedures and wear required protective equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized, and productive work environment.
Perform other duties assigned by the production supervisor.
Previous food-production or manufacturing experience is preferred but not always required.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to lift and move materials, typically up to 40–50 lbs, depending on the facility.
Good attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, or overtime when required.
Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation is a plus.
Responsable de operar y supervisar equipos de producción de tortillas, preparar ingredientes, inspeccionar los productos terminados y mantener un área de producción limpia y segura. El trabajador debe asegurarse de que las tortillas se produzcan de manera eficiente y cumpliendo con los estándares de calidad y seguridad alimentaria.
Operar maquinaria de producción de tortillas, incluyendo mezcladoras, prensas, hornos, bandas transportadoras y equipos de empaque.
Medir y preparar los ingredientes de acuerdo con las recetas y especificaciones de producción.
Supervisar el equipo y el proceso de producción para asegurar su correcto funcionamiento.
Inspeccionar las tortillas para verificar tamaño, forma, color, textura, peso y calidad general.

Cargar y descargar ingredientes y productos terminados cuando sea necesario.

Se prefiere experiencia previa en producción de alimentos o manufactura, aunque no siempre es indispensable.
Capacidad para permanecer de pie durante períodos prolongados y realizar tareas repetitivas.
Capacidad para levantar y mover materiales, generalmente de hasta 40–50 libras, dependiendo de las instalaciones.
Buena atención al detalle y capacidad para seguir instrucciones escritas y verbales.
Capacidad para trabajar en un ambiente de producción rápido y dinámico.
