GreenWay Bank is seeking a Portfolio Manager to join our Fort Wayne Business Banking team! The Portfolio Manager supports the Business Banking team by managing an assigned portfolio of business clients, performing detailed credit analysis, participating in joint client calls with Commercial Bankers, and providing end-to-end support to ensure timely deal execution and ongoing client satisfaction. This role serves as a key link between clients, credit / deposit officers, and internal banking teams to maintain strong portfolio quality and ensure an excellent ongoing client experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as primary support contact for an assigned portfolio of business banking clients.
- Monitor client performance, financial trends, and covenant compliance to ensure ongoing credit quality.
- Respond to client inquiries, assist with account maintenance, and support day-to-day banking needs.
- Perform comprehensive credit analysis, including the review of financial statements, cash-flow projections, collateral, and industry conditions.
- Prepare, update, and present credit memos, annual reviews, and risk assessments.
- Recommend appropriate credit structures, risk ratings, and lending terms in line with bank policy.
- Work closely with Commercial Banking Officers to prepare loan packages, gather required documentation, and shepherd deals through underwriting, approval, and closing.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all closing requirements are met.
- Track deal progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and proactively solve issues to ensure timely funding.
- Participate in joint prospect and client calls with Commercial Bankers to understand business needs, assess creditworthiness, and help propose financing solutions.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients by delivering responsive and accurate service.
- Support cross-sell initiatives by identifying additional banking products that meet client needs.
- Monitor portfolio risk indicators and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date portfolio data, credit files, and reporting for internal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with bank policies, lending regulations, and audit standards.
