Greater Cincinnati Behavioral Health Services (GCBHS) has immediate openings for full- and part-time Behavioral Health Technicians to support individuals in our brand-new Receiving Center (RC) - a first-of-its-kind initiative providing rapid response, short-term stabilization, and coordinated follow-up for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Be part of this exciting new program from the very beginning!We offer flexible scheduling for 2nd and 3rd shifts. Limited part-time 1st shift hours are also available.In addition to the base hourly pay, the following differentials apply : 1st Shift : +$0.75 / hour2nd Shift : +$1.25 / hour3rd Shift : +$1.75 / hourWeekend Days (Fri 3 : 00 pm - Mon 7 : 00 am) : Additional +$1 / hourAbout the Crisis Receiving CenterThe Hamilton County RC is a unique and innovative model designed to provide an alternative to emergency rooms or incarceration for individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe, trauma-informed environment while supporting client engagement, safety monitoring, and crisis de-escalation.Position Responsibilities For BH Technician : Provide observation, engagement, and crisis supportAssist with safety monitoring, de-escalation, and intake / orientationAccurately document client interactions and incidentsCommunicate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary teamPromote trauma-informed and culturally competent care
Position Requirements For BH Technician : High School Diploma (required)Experience with mental health or substance use populations preferredFlexibility, professionalism, and resilience in fast-paced settings
