Position Details:

Position: Bellhop
Schedule: Full-Time, Seasonal spring to fall
Location: Bayview Hotel – Bar Harbor, Maine
Shifts: Days, evenings, weekends, and holidays are required
Pay: Competitive hourly rate + tips

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet arriving guests and escort them to their rooms
• Receive, tag, transport, and deliver guest luggage and packages
• Load and unload luggage from vehicles and baggage carts
• Park and retrieve guest vehicles safely and efficiently
• Operate hotel passenger vans (up to 12 passengers) in compliance with traffic laws
• Assist guests entering and exiting vehicles and with their belongings
• Maintain clean and welcoming lobby and entrance areas
• Set up and stock the lobby fireplace area, coffee room, and guest activity stations
• Deliver special guest requests to rooms promptly
• Provide guests with information about the hotel, local attractions, restaurants, and points of interest
• Communicate effectively with front desk staff and concierges regarding guest needs
• Keep parking areas clean, organized, and orderly
• Clean and maintain vehicle interiors and exteriors
• Perform routine vehicle checks and report maintenance needs or incidents
• Record vehicle routes and follow written and verbal directions

Skills & Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate passenger vehicles
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to read maps and follow directions
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays
• Professional appearance and positive attitude
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Success in this role will be measured by guest satisfaction, safe vehicle operation, teamwork, attention to detail, and your ability to provide timely, courteous service.
