  • Interpret benefit and compensation policies and communicate information clearly and effectively to employees and internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate employee benefits and compensation data within HRIS and benefits administration systems.
  • Support benefits-related reporting, audits, reconciliations, and data analysis.
  • Utilize Excel, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and other data analysis functions, to prepare reports and validate information.

  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, vendors, and other internal partners to research and resolve benefits and compensation issues.
  • Support leave administration and compliance-related activities, including ACA measurement and reporting.
  • Assist with compensation-related projects, including pay equity analyses and other Total Rewards initiatives.
  • Conduct research and provide recommendations or solutions for moderately complex or less typical employee inquiries.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive employee, compensation, and benefits information.
  • Independently manage assigned projects and responsibilities while effectively balancing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Contribute to a collaborative HR environment and support the achievement of broader HR and firm objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience, preferably within a law firm or similar professional services environment such as consulting or financial services.
  • Working knowledge of compensation and benefits principles, practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with HRIS and/or benefits administration systems.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret policies and explain complex benefits and compensation information in a clear, straightforward manner.
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated commitment to data accuracy.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.

Key Competencies

  • Total Rewards Expertise: Possesses specialized technical knowledge of benefits and compensation and serves as a resource to others.
  • Independence & Initiative: Independently completes assignments, manages priorities, and identifies solutions to less typical requests.
  • Problem Solving: Effectively analyzes and resolves moderately complex issues while balancing multiple objectives.
  • Communication & Customer Service: Provides thoughtful, responsive service and communicates complex information clearly.
  • Teamwork: Promotes collaboration and contributes to the achievement of HR and firm-wide goals.
  • Confidentiality & Integrity: Demonstrates sound judgment and discretion when working with sensitive employee and compensation information.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Join a sophisticated professional services environment with exposure to a broad range of Total Rewards functions.
  • Opportunity to expand your career beyond traditional benefits administration into compensation, compliance, analytics, leave administration, and pay equity.
  • Hybrid work schedule with remote flexibility for qualified candidates living within 30 miles of Philadelphia, New York City, or Washington, DC.
  • Work with HR, Finance, leadership, vendors, and employees across a highly professional organization.
  • Opportunity to become a trusted Total Rewards resource while continuing to develop your career.
