[job_card.job_description]MS or PhD with 2+ years relevant experience working with physiological systems. Must have experience with perfusion, ECMO, organ support, or normothermic preservation. Experience with real-time instrumentation and sensing in biological environments.

Responsibilities of the Scientist / Sr. Scientist (Organ Perfusion) :
- Will lead the design and operation of systems that integrate perfusion, physiology, sensing, actuation, and closed-loop control.
- Perform identification, characterization, and mitigation of long-horizon failure modes.
- Apply your expertise in organ perfusion, preservation, and viability assessment.
- Define measurements, interpret dynamics, and drive improvements in system-level function.
- Will collaborate with scientists and engineers across the company on a variety of methods inspired by first principles of biology, physics, and chemistry.
- Ability to comfortably execute familiar assay protocols as well as identifying and implementing unfamiliar protocols to diagnose damage.
- Propose adjustments to cryopreservation protocol to optimize the health of organs.
